Jose Vitancio

I am from Cusco, graduated in Administration and International Business, musician specialist in flute, Quechua ethnomusicologist recognized by the National University San Antonio Abad of Cusco and executive director of this company. For more than 20 years I have been studying the musical instruments of ancient Andean cultures such as Chavín, Paracas, Vicús, Virú, Moche, Nazca, Sicán, Chincha, Chancay, Chimú and Inca to replicate them; based on the research of outstanding archaeomusicologists and researchers such as Raoul D'Harcourt, César Bolaños, Isabel Aretz and Ellen Hickmann.

Replicas

The replicas presented here emit sounds from different times and cultures for festive, ceremonial, agricultural and war occasions. The reproductions allow to know the authentic sound of each instrument, in order to classify them in aerophones, sonorous hydraulics, membranophones and ideophones.
